You are a treasure, Becky. I so appreciate your forthrightness and clarity. And you’re right: it *is* insulting to claim armchair expertise on infectious diseases. You’d think we would have learned that by now. Thanks for all that you do! Melissa

Thank you for your continual work and addressing the fallacy of “doing my own research”. I have a Biology degree from decades ago and I never could comprehend that googling is equal to real Research. You are very valued!!!

Thank you. Flu shot is on the agenda once we test negative.

Thanks for your commentary. My husband & I just returned from a trip to Québec province w/ a very small tour group. We had decided to get flu & vaccines upon our return which in retrospect was a mistake.

Got home Sept. 25 & he tested +Covid immediately & I was + 2 days later. Get your Covid boosters, people!!!!

How long must we wait until getting the newer booster?

Diane -- oh, no! I am so sorry. Hope you are feeling better (and that you had an amazing trip). Your immune system is now boosted (from illness). You cannot get the booster for another 2 months. But you can get the flu shot once you are feeling better.

Thanks so much for your wise and timely information.

One question: does it matter in which order the flu and Covid booster are gotten? I need both and want to get one this weekend.

You can get both at the same time. One trip to the pharmacy/doctor's and done!

If you want to do one at a time, I'd get COVID now and wait a week or two to get flu.

Good luck!

Thank you! I develop a fever with both so it’s one at a time for me!
