Far be it for me to fall into the trap of “don't teach your Grandmother to suck eggs” (I’m British so apologies if it doesn’t translate into what Microsoft loves to call “American English”), but just in case you don’t know about it I can recommend “Pathogenesis: A History of the World in Eight Plagues” by Jonathan Kennedy (and here’s the link to a recent podcast where he was interviewed: https://newbooksnetwork.com/pathogenesis ). As a British trained Physiotherapist (with a History Degree) now living and working in Erie his book combined two of my interests.

Appreciate the recommendation. I’m devouring books at the moment! Gearing up to teach high school and middle school classes on deadly diseases in the fall. This could be really helpful. Thanks.
